lazy sunday

well its been a really lazy day just done some washing and reading on my tablet really should be finishing some crochet and knitting but feeling too lazy lol
managed to get my laptop up and running but my late brothers isn't playing its not even been switched on in a long time and  wont boot up so im waiting for my really clever son to have a look at it in the hope its something simple and easily fixed.
My local knit and natter was last night and was a good night got some lovely wool given me and managed a few rows on grandsons blanket (the 11yr old) I frogged the first one it was taking to long as it was drunken granny stitch and was in straight rows so im now doing C2C granny stitch instead
Tomorrow should be interesting doing my friends hubby a favour and going on school runs and knit and chat at NEON and Tuesday im at hospital with my dad who has to have an iron infusion

Hello im back

Well its been a long time since i logged in here but life got in the way.
Since I last blogged I have had several health issues and have also suffered a few family bereavements and my dad also has health issues all of which has meant less time to do things like this
I found 2 tribute bands that I love Bon Giovi and A Foreigners Journey "Jon" was Andrea Ojano who has an awesome voice and he left (to be replaced by Gary) and did a bit on his own before joining A Foreigners Journey originally till they found someone but he is sooooo good they kept him lol

I stiil do card making and have now also learnt to crochet so my knitting and crochet has taken over a little as i have joined a couple of knitting groups one of which is a registered charity United by Wool.
We knit blankets and childrens cardigans hats scarves teddies to send to children in need wether here or overseas.  We have had 2 challenges within the group so far this year
Jan-March was a 6inch square a day (knitted or crocheted) for 84 days to make up into a blanketwe have around 48 of them to date
next was for cardigans etc but bigger than 6 months in age for older children not just babies originally this was for 100 items but ended up 500 items which was quickly achieved so we are now on challenge number 3 which is to knit a teddy using Marion Leys "Wilfred" pattern so all the teddies are much the same size etc
As im not a very fast knitter and have several things on the go at once im still on my 6-9 month cardigan as well as a newborn one and 3 crochet single bed size blankets with a bride and groom knitted set and a ballerina elephant to do
I have made 2 bed sized blankets already for my 5yr old grandson and my best friend Claire and 2 cushion covers for 2 friends it helps keep me going as due to my health problems im unable to work and crafting keeps me reasonably sane lol
My local craft shop Sophies unfortunately has shut so no more craft club or demos there. My fav docrafts demonstrators Sheila and Jo now work elsewhere but Joey is still there and i go to see her when I can I also go to the craft shows if I can at event city and leigh papercrafts
A lot has happened in the 5 years since I last posted lol
